Snow has finally melted need ideas on groundcover. Seller left part of yard wild, so she wouldn't have to mow. Still don't want to mow but want to plant groundcover. Also want to plant ground cover on hilly area next to street. Street area would be in full sun all day. I was thinking of getting purple winter creeper for there? Good idea or no. There is a sight easment for the yard close to street that doesn't allow us to plant tall bushes or trees next to street but I thought ground cover would be fine. Want to plant something different for area left wild on side of yard. Area will mostly be sunny. It does get wet from rain water back there because of a pipe that drains the water but we do get drought like conditions durning the summer, some years. Want something that likes water but doesn't mind dry years. I can water also during droughts. I live in the hudson valley of New York. We do have cold winters. I posted pictures of property at:
