Any ideas for a groundcover on a slope?

I'd like to put a variety of bushes and perennials on a slope right next to my house. It's the southwest side and I've dug a little ditch to stake out the bed.

I don't want a climber. Maybe a few groundcovers that will fill things in, help keep soil in place, and possibly get along with one another?

Also want to avoid anything that reseeds like crazy since my raised garden bed is about 10 feet away.

I've been looking at: some juniper, creeping phlox, yarrow, lamb's ear....

I'm not sure you want a real "ground cover"......maybe just a low, spreading perennial that can fill in the blank spaces. The lamb's ear (stachys) could work but so could Veronica 'Georgia Blue', Helianthemum (sunroses), various creeping/spreading campanulas, Iberis sempervirens (candytuft), heaths or heathers, hardy geraniums, etc. In zone 7, there are literally hundreds of different plants that could work.

Visit your local retail nursery/garden center to see what they offer and looks good to you.
