Need a picture if possible. What is difficult for one could be a cakewalk for another. Sun? Shade? Need more specifics.

I too posted here about four weeks ago with the same question. After endless searches and hearing various comments, some good, some not so good on certain groundcovers I finally made my decision last night when I ordered 100 rooted english ivy cuttings on ebay. I guess over time I will decide if I made the right choice....but at least my dilemma is over for now. Good Luck to you!

My home is on a hill facing south, and it's been difficult growing grass in the front yard. This fall, I finally threw in the towel and got rid on the lower half of the lawn. First I covered it with mulch, and then planted hardy ice plants spaced about every 2 feet. I already enough ice plants from other beds in my yard to handle all of the transplanting. The ice plants didn't looking like much over the winter, but are finally taking off. Soon they will be flowering, and my front yard will be a mass of purple-pink flowers. They also are very drought resistant and never need watering or fertilizing.
