Mexican Groundcover

I recently returned from a 2 wk holiday at an all inclusive resort just outside Puerto Vallarta. The resort had exquisite gardens and a common ground cover they used really caught my eye. It was about 8-10 inches high, had long slender leaves about 6-7 inches long and 1.5 in wide and were green on one side and purple on the other. I asked around and was told that it is "Setcreasea-Purple Heart" but all of the pictures I've Googled don't look like this species. Does anyone have any idea of what this native Mexican plant may be because I'd love to get some.

Thanks
