need help with identification

Hi! Bought a house years ago with untended gardens. Have a ground cover that crowds out all my plants and need help identifying it as well as ideas on how to eradicate it.

Stays low to ground, sprouts 7 little leaves, stem is greenish with some red, but when you pull on it, it has a white stem in the ground that goes to China. The leaves have spikey edges, not smooth, leaves are veined.

I am in Central Mass...Can anyone help?
