I'm having a terrible problem with my ditch! Everyone in this neighborhood has had a terrible problem with their drainage ditch.

I need some kind of ground cover to plant that spreads like wildfire, that loves full sun and fairly dry soil! Can't use kudzu, I know, but I need something like it. MS zone 7, clay soil, hot humid summer, not much rain. Will water the ditch some if necessary.

I'm desperate here for some answers. What do I plant??! Oh, this is a large ditch, runs the length of the east yard at bottom of hill several hundred feet. Moderately steep slope to ditch.
