Star Jasmine Groundcover - Pinch? Don't Pinch?

Hi --

I've just planted three gallon-size containers of star jasmine (trachelospermum) for use as groundcover, and they're coming along nicely. I know this plant can be used in a variety of ways -- if I want groundcover, do I need to pinch it or stake it down, or should I just let it go as-is?

Also, what's the correct spacing for star jasmine as a groundcover? I know I put mine way too close together (24 inches) and will have to move at least one eventually, but what's the expected spread per plant?

Hi Heather,

Since you're not getting any response to this here, you might want to try posting it on the Vines Forum. I'm in the waaay wrong zone, so I can't help you. Star Jasmine is a houseplant here!
