Aztec grass and White Lilyturf questions

| I am in Upstate SC.From a Big Box store,I bought 16 large pots of Silver Showers White Lily Turf Ophiopogon Jaburan Variegatus Silver Showers.
The insert tag stated it is hardy to 0 degrees to -10 degrees.
It is a large gorgeous plant- mainly white/with just a few green stripes.
Once I was home, I noticed the sticker on the pot stated it was Aztec grass. I did research on the web and am more confused than ever. Some websites state it is hardy to zone 7. Others state it can not handle below 20 degrees.
Which is accurate? Could Silver Showers be more cold hardy than other Aztec Grass? Are Aztec Grass and White Lily Turf the same thing?
I have not planted them yet so I can still return them.
I do not want a plant it if it will be an annual in my zone as it is way too expensive to replace every year.
Thanks in advance!

| It will only tolerate light frosts, so I might reconsider if you have a good heavy frost now and again or any periods of extended cold weather. If you are interested in a similar look but greater hardiness, I'd consider Liriope spicata 'Silver Dragon' or Carex morrowii 'Ice Dance'. I also would never research by common name (lily turf, aztec grass, mondo grass etc.) but rather by the correct botanical name - Ophiopogon jaburan 'Variegata'. Common names are too often misapplied to the wrong plant or used interchangeably incorrectly. The botanical name is the only truly correct designation. |

Thank you gardengal48! I currently have silver dragon in this location and do not like its rambling habit. I fell in love with the clumping and green/white of the Aztec grass. I returned the Aztec grass to the Big Box store and mentioned to the manager that it was not hardy and that the plant id stick did not match the label on the pot and she said she would make a note of it.I mentioned it should be corrected. We had some other shopping to do and one hour later, all the plants I returned were back in the garden area still mislabeled. It makes me sick. |
