Vinca Minor mutant, or??????????????

Vinca Minor. I've had in on a bank in my back yard for 5-6 years, some in the shade and some in the sun. In Northeast Kansas. Now something else is creeping in, and I don't know what it is. I've been calling it the 'mutant' variety, and will try to post pictures. Can anyone tell me what it is? And what to do about it because I don't want it. Thanks in advance.

In the picture, the vinca is below, and the intruder is above. They both grow alike, but the intruder has a much larger woody stem/crawler, maybe 1/8 inch diameter

Agree with gardengal48, Facebook is not a good way to post pix to a forum like this. (I am a mostly nonparticipating, grudging member of Facebook, but still couldn't find your pix easily.)

My suggestion is to try something like photobucket.com
