Cutting back Vinca Major?

| This year it has really taken off, getting high and spreading out. BUT it is higher that I would prefer ie about 1.5'. Is it ok if I cut it back a little with a weedeater? It is still nice outside but by June it will be really hot so maybe this would not be prudent??? |

| It grows upright in spring with the new foliage, but will start growing verticle soon. Why don't you wait just a bit to see if it lays down a bit. I have a large bed of vinca, and it is fairly low growing. About 6 inches I would guess. |
