Propagating Elfin Thyme?

Is there anything unusual that needs to be done to propagate elfin thyme?

I found a few plugs of it at one of my favorite nurseries, and I basically bought all they had (less than a half dozen small ornamental pepper size pots) and it doesn't look like they're getting any more in, and I haven't found it anywhere else in town.

What I've got I took scissors to and cut each pot's worth into quarters and laid them out in larger containers. Since its a type of creeping thyme, I assume they'll send out runners to increase the mat size, that the runners will then root, and eventually I'll be able to split those containers up into new plugs to start it all over again.

That sound right, or did I pick an oddball species that doesn't spread that easily?
