| last year i planted a few large patches of ajuga ( i think it was bronze beauty ). it has completely disappeared this year. why would that happen? could it be that it was covered with too many wet leaves during the winter? could it have rotted away from all this winter wetness? i have another area of ajuga chocolate chip that survived the winter fine and was only planted last year also. should i try to plant it again making sure i clean all the leaves off the ajuga before the upcoming winter? also, can anyone tell me if ajuga choc. chip spreads fairly rapidly. i really like this cultivar and would replace the bronze beauty with this. it seems as if i can only find small pots of this in the nurseries. thanks for any info. |
