groundcover under Bloodgood Japanese maple

| I've been told by several friends who are more advanced gardeners that myrtle should work. However, two landscapers and a landscaping supply store told me NOTHING will grow under a Japanese maple once summer gets hot and dry unless I water it constantly and then maybe not even then. I understand the reason, but I thought I would ask on this forum if anyone has ever had success growing any ground cover under a bloodgood Japanese maple, and if so what. Thank you. |
