Everyobdy's preference for bare root vs. potted for green sheen pachy, zone 6 on a slope?

In my area, bare root groundcovers are nonexistant, so the only alternative is potted. FWIW, I would avoid evergreen material of any kind in a bare root form - since it never goes fully dormant, it is very difficult to sustain in a bare root condition for any length of time without damage.
