No problems. Mine has been well-behaved and is easily removed if it goes where you don't want it to. Just make sure to give it good drainage. If your winters are very wet it could rot.

ice plants are good at erision control because they are mat-forming, which both absorbs the water as it falls- and because they literally break the force of the raindrops. but they tend to spread aboveground, and rooting at the nodes, rather than putting out runner-roots that suddenly pop up in your neighbor's yard :)
