Hi,

I am trying to do some major changes (hopefully improvements) to the appearance of my landscape, but I have no previous experience with gardening. I was hoping someone could help with my questions.

I am thinking of planting some creeping phlox between a retaining wall and a walkway.

I just had a lawn service come out and spray weed killer in this area (I didn't know at the time what I wanted to do with the area...but the guy recommended groundcover). Great idea, but now it has been sprayed.

I was thinking of ordering 25 plants from bloomingbulb.com and seeing how they do in this area... but i don't want to plant them and find out the weed killer poisoned them.

Does anyone know how long I would have to wait before planting anything there?

Anyone use pink creeping phlox (phlox sublulata).. How does it look when it is not in bloom?

How long will the blooms last? Will it be ugly when it is not in bloom?

Are weeds going to be a major issue?

The lawn guy mentioned pachysandra... but i love the flowers in the pictures I am seeing of the phlox!
