trilobum 'red dragon'

I think I remember the name correctly. This trilobum is green with a purple spot on each leaf. It is very interesting.

The tag says hardy to zone 4.
Who has seen it, used it? What kind of grower is it? Where have you utilized it?

I haven't been able to turn up anything on the web searches I've done, and I can't wait to get some information from you folks.

Are you referring to Trifolium repens 'Dragon's Blood'? An ornamental clover with cream and green leaves splashed with red? Very easy to grow in evenly moist soils and part shade. Tends to bleach out and become leggy in much sun. It and the other ornamental clovers are pretty nearly fully evergreen in my climate. I like to use them as border edgings in woodland or shade gardens. Growth can be aggressive in ideal conditions but not what I'd consider invasive or problematic like less ornamental clovers.

thank you...it is trilobum repans 'dragon blood.' It is very beautiful. We'll see if it is hardy to zone 5. Is there a particular combination you like to use it with?

"trilobum" is a species designation meaning three leaved - it is not a plant name. I believe the plant you are referring to is Trifolium repens 'Dragon's Blood' (note correct spelling). Looks great as a groundcover surrounding hostas, red flowered astilbe like 'Fanal' and dark leaved heucheras
