I want to remove massive amounts of this stuff...and I rarely use chemicals, however this is such a big job i am considering round up. In your opinion, would this be effective?

Round-up should work, and if it doesn't kill it all or the Pachysandra 'rebounds,' spray and then spray again in about 10 days. I sure wish I was there to dig some up for myself! Would you consider sending me a box of bare-rot wrapped in wet newspaper(I'll pay postage!)? :) We just moved to NC and the yard is BARE! :O --Heather

put it up on Craigslist.com or freecycle as a 'u-dig pachysandra festival' and you will have at least one person willing to come out and remove large clumps... before you start killing things- consider why they grew pachy there in the first place, and what you're going to replace it with? it's really upsetting when you go through all that to kill one plant- and then have the whole hillside slide away in the next good rainstorm because you didn't get new plants established to hold the slop together.
