Creeping Thyme

Teach_me_now

My walkway is made of free form slabs of rock. I chose creeping thyme to grow between the cracks to fill in.

The new plants are at approx 4" tall. Can they be mowed successfully? Should I let them get settled first. Am afraid of my weed-whacker lawn person - he can be problematic. The only other choice would be dwarf mondo. If I don't wait too long, I can pull and transplant the thyme to my herb garden section, or use it as a ground cover with other plants. Please help.

There are extremely flat creeping thymes. Check out the ones from High Country Gardens.
