Has anyone had success underplanting pachysandra with a deep bulb? For example a Lily.

I have a bed of Angelique tulips in the pachysandra bed under my crabapple tree. They all seem to get along well.

I've got snowdrops, grape hyacynths, and some little sqills or alliums in my pachy bed, since it only gets sunlight in the very early spring.

Pachy's root system is fairly open, so there's no reason bulbs can't push up through.

Tulips, daffies and crocus grow in my pachysandra.
