groundcover under white pines

Hi!

I have a row of white pines growing next to my lawn and need a groundcover suggestion. The site faces east and I can easily get either periwinkle or pachysandra. Which would you recommend such that it doesn't create a problem with the lawn? Thanks for your help.

If you are worried about aggressiveness, I would forget about Vinca minor. I grow Vinca minor
'Sterling Silver' and put up with its aggressiveness because it is so beautiful!
