| What kind of groundcover would you recommend between our boulder wall and dense yews which wrap around the patio?
This is on the west side of the house so will get full afternoon sun. We're looking for something that won't get too invasive, has good color, and will just plain look good. :)

| Sedum would look nice there. Dragon's Blood has a deep green "leaf"/red/pink bloom and there's also the lime green/yellow bloom one with the really long name (katchamanchoe?). There are lots of sedums, do a Google search. They require very little to no care. |

| I'd have to say I like mixed rockwalls best- the phlox cascading down from the top, the sedums planted between the stones... Lamium also makes a nice, cascading treat for rock walls, and a western exposure wouldn't do them any harm. the silver-streaked foliage is a nice change. I also have rock cress, and several annual thymes growing in my wall, and love the way they look :) |
