 o
ground cover with bulbs

I have a border area in my garden where I planted a whole bunch of bulbs. The bulbs come up in the spring time and look beautiful. However, by summer, they are all gone, and all I have is bare ground. I would like to plant some ground cover to give some green to the ground. I don't want something invasive like Baby's Tears or Irish Moss. I don't want something that will interfere with the bulbs. I live in San Jose, CA and the soil is mostly clay. The area is in direct sun.

I'm thinking of using Mondo Grass. Will that interfere with the bulbs? Any other recommendations?

Thanks.
