I am trying to grow corsican mint. I read that you can start with a piece of root just 3mm in size. I cut up a bunch of roots and covered them with soil. I am keeping it damp.

How deep should the roots be under the soil?

Does anyone know how LONG I have to wait to see green? Only a very few spots in the pot have shown a single tiny leaf in three weeks.
