Is this a bloom on my sedum?

Hi Everyone,
I've had this plant for some time and believe I've seen it sold as a tri-colored sedum. I took some snips and put in a container and yesterday I saw this sweet little rose like bloom or something. Is that what it is - a bloom? Funny, it's never done this before.
Thanks

Hmm, that looks like one of those double impatiens! Or a portulaca. But sedum does bloom, so I guess that's what you have!

Very pretty! (the sedum AND the bloom)

It's not a flower, although it does resemble the appearance of one. Most stonecrops will develop rosettes of foliage at new growth points. Because 'Tricolor' is variegated, these little rosettes are often very pale and nearly solid in color, usually a pale greenish-pink. These rosettes will extend and develop into proper leaves. The flowers of stonecrops are small and star-shaped and in the case of 'Tricolor', bright pink. It should bloom consistantly every June if happy.

The following link to Dave's Garden show several different photos of this plant. You should be able to clearly see both the rosettes of new growth and the flowers.

Here is a link that might be useful: Sedum 'Tricolor'
