Groundcover with ornamental feature?

Any suggestions for a groundcover with an ornamental feature?

Looking for 6-12" tall.
Like it to spread 3-5ft.
Full sun
Well drained, dry soil on a slope.
Used more as speciman in front of coralburst crabapple vs. a mass planting.
