Groundcover for awkward location.

User

Would appreciate suggestions for groundcovers for an awkward location. The area is the a strip of earth that runs about 12 feet in length and is about 2.5 feet wide. It is located on the eastern side of the house but gets very little if any direct sun. The whole strip is actually located under the house (which is only three feet above). Reflected light is actually excellent because a white house is located just across the driveway. Previously, variegated Vinca vines covered the whole area and seemed to do very well but I wanted to put something in was a bit more manageable--Vinca tended to be fast growing and somewhat invasive. I realize these conditions sound dungeon-like but there seems to be enough light to keep a temporary annual planting of impatients in full and constant bloom. So what kind of vine

or ground cover might work. Would prefer some kind of succulent plant if possible because a sunny expansion of this strip contains yucca, hardy cactus, and ornamental grasses. Thanks in advance.
