Keeping Creeping Jenny in Water??

| I bought a pot of creeping jenny from a garden center where it was sitting in a shallow tub of water...I'm going on vacation and while I have friends coming to water every 3 or 4 days, I'm worried that the creeping jenny won't last that long. It looks wilty if I don't water it every single day. Should I put it in shallow water? I'm just afraid of root rot. Then I can get it in the ground when I get back. :) |

| Hi Julia, Lysimachia nummularia can actually be grown as a bog plant near ponds, and if it's close enough to the water the stems will float out onto the water and grow roots into the water, so keeping it in a tray of water is an excellent idea to keep it healthy while you're gone. | I have creeping jenny mixed in with Mazus on the waterfall part of a koi pond. As soon as it grows big enough for the water to splash it it goes crazy. Its been there for 3 yrs and just loves the water |
