Planting groundcover in soil damaged by Sandy

Fritzlang

Hi,

Just pulled the weeds out of my front yard and I'm finally fixing my Sandy damaged home. The front yard is fairly sunny and the back is dappled in shade from the trees overhead. All sorts of weird weeds I never saw before came with Sandy and I assume there is still salt water in the soil. Can anyone please advice on Groundcover that is tolerant of these conditions?

Thanks
