Help please! What is this plant?

We just moved to a house with a beautiful garden, but one of the plants I can't identify is this. It is growing like a groundcover, but it does has small burrs that stick to my poodle like velcro.

RE: Help please! What is this plant?

At first sight I thought it Sweet Woodruff, but mine has never had seeds. Reason to suspect, if not Sweet Woodruff, some sort of Bedstraw. Especially because of your seed description.
Both plants smell nicely of sweet straw when dried.

RE: Help please! What is this plant?

Thank you so much Bogturtle! I looked up Sweet Woodruff and I believe that's what this plant is.
