Get RID of strawberry

Hi:

Wasn't sure where to post this. I planted a few strawberry plants in half of my raised bed last year and it has overtaken the whole thing. It has also leapt the raised bed, onto my gravel walkway and, if given the chance, it roots itself through the gravel and through (my obviously incompetent) landscape fabric and is threatning my whole garden with a strawberry coup takeover .

I started pulling it out but it is really rooted in there! The bed is only 8'x 4'. What is the easiest way to kill this thing? Am trying not to use chemicals.

My last resort is to pull it out but arthritis is an issue. Can't really grip the plants properly to pull.
