Anyone growing this?

I just purchased for a full shade area, and now I'm second guessing myself based on what I've read.

Some of the posts I've come across were from recent growers who have stated that the plant doesn't turn red for them in the shade, and that it is not sufficient for a groundcover. I wonder if it takes a few years to establish and then the color enhances with age?

Can anyone comment?

I'm wondering now if I'd need to plant it in a sunnier area to enhance the color. Light requirements say shade to light shade.
