Will a sedum work?

I need a short ground cover for a walkway with wide spaced flagstones. Area is full sun from 11am to sunset. Soil is well drained. I am in middle TN zone 6/7 with humid summers, wet mild winters. I am thinking sedums. Groundcover would need to be evergreen. Bluish, red, or green foliage. Flowers (if any) could be any color except yellow. Red winter foliage would be awesome. Any suggestions?

PS. I donÂt really want a bee magnet since it is a walkway.

If the walkway gets regular and frequent use, then sedums may not be the answer. They don't tolerate a lot of foot traffic and crush easily when stepped on. IMO, sedums are a great groundcover in a hot and sunny but low traffic area. Others that would work better for this purpose are any of the creeping thymes, blue star creeper or Irish/Scotch moss (Sagina subulata).
