I'm hoping and praying someone can help me.

We've just moved into a new home and I am surrounded by nothing but sand!

I'd like a lawn but I doubt very much that grass will grow well in these conditions. We're under a heavy canopy of oak trees - full shade. Very dry, extraordinarily sandy - no topsoil at all, in South Georgia.

I'm interested in planting a ground cover but I'm at a loss as to what specifically to plant.
