18' x 3' area in shade

| this is a small area in front of my new construction home that is shaded with no irrigation. it is in front of a window and next to a side loading garage. 3 ft wide and is about 6 ft long. I need something for groundcover that does not need sun or irrigation. I want to put a groundcover then about 2-3 taller plants or shrubs with pine straw mulch. I currently have a similar area in my current home where I have macho fern doing pretty good. I like palm or yucca like plants also crotons (as my shrubs). So what on the ground? Any ideas? |
