Live in a townhouse by the Lake in Mississauga. Would like suggestions for a low growing, flowering shrub for semi shaded area of 2 ft x 3 ft. Low maintenance would be great!!

Thank you all

how short do you want your shrub?when fo you want it to flower?
st johnswort is nice, and will take partial shade
potentilla comes to mind but it needs some good sun
mockorange(philadelphius) will take shade, but wants to grow tall.
there are some drawf forsythia's, mine do ok in am shade, but get sun from noon onward.
kerria is nice, likes some shade and tops out at about 4-5 feet.
azaleas are nice and good flower display
flowering quinces
flowering almonds
clethra
peonies can function like a shrub, but die down in the winter.
some of the dwarf lilacs might bloom
just some ideas
