Wood chips in Elgin Area?

Posted by strangebob23 (My Page) on

I'm looking for hardwood chips in the Elgin, IL Area. Any ideas where to get them? I have been able to find hardwood MULCH, Bark mulch, etc. but no hardwood chips. I'm looking for a couple of cubic yards for the garden. Any ideas?

RE: Wood chips in Elgin Area?

Does Elgin offer free woodchips to its residents? Here in Barrington, what is allegedly offered as mulch is actually wood chippings from the chipper shredder. Otherwise, you might call some of the professional tree trimmers and ask them if you could have the wood chips from their jobs.
