The Weather is Breaking! 03/05/2010

It's going to be in the 40's for a week, so they say!

Maybe the white glop will melt and I'll be able to get out and start some cleanup.

Going to tap the maple tree tomorrow! Syrup time. Yummy!

I tapped my 1st tree on the 1st of March, then found a few others. I've got 15 gallons of sap that I'm boiling down today. I hope you have a long season.

Yep, the weather is breaking alright. And our hearts will probably be breaking when we get socked with the March or April snow storm that's almost sure to come. But why be a pessimist, right? We still have snow up north, but the bare patches are getting bigger. Come on, spring!

I agree with your pessimist self, ThinMan. The plants don't seem to agree this year, but they are always pushing the limits.

They are so far along... I hope they're right!

I'm tired of trying to shove them back into the ground!

All melted here on the south shore of Erie. Seeds started (albeit a week or 2 late oh well)

And I got spring clean up in on the front yard!

You lucky dawgs! Wish I had some sugar maples to tap!

And no pushing back here! the Daffs and Tulips are popping through!
