when to plant rhubarb

Hi,

I want to plant a rhubarb plant and never got around to it in the fall. It's a division packed in sawdust (not a plant). When should I plant it this spring? I live in Grand Rapids, MI (zone 5).

Thanks!

Edible Rhubarb. They do best in full sun, like good draining soil, but not dry. May need some fertilizer, but not a lot. May take a year or two to get going well, producing enough leaves to pick. Keeping the flower stalks cut off, keeps the plant going longer. Once they set seed, mine go dormant afterward.
