| Hi everyone!!
In the past 5 years our beautiful heavy shaded wooded area where only hostas would grow, has now turned into more sun than shade because of the horrible ASH BOAR!!! There are a few oak and other hard woods however not like before. We are looking for suggestions for fast growing bushes that will grow to 7 to 8 feet high to give us a good screen from a common walk path that is behind us in the woods. We have planted viburnum in a few areas and that has helped. We had thought about trees however that would only give us top shade and we would like to build a dense screen. We are in SE Michigan Zone 5.
Thanks

| Would holly work there? I have holly where I live, one in full sun and others in mostly shade. I like the holly because they are dense year round. I am not sure as to how fast they grow, these were here when I got here. They weather the snow and ice storms very well. I love em! |
