I just heard a rumor that this year may be a repeat of 1988!! Has anyone else heard any predictions? Are we going to pay dearly for the lovely rain we had last year.
If so, I'm going to downsize my posey plans, I'd rather do anything, weed, dig holes, than drag hoses and watering cans around every day. We were farming in 88 and went into some serious debt without crop insurance. Very depressing. |

| I hadn't heard that, but wasn't listening for it either :-) I'm really glad I got a huge supply of straw bales last year, so I can mulch everything well. And I am not planning on putting in any new plants this year, other than annuals, so nothing to get established. I'm set. I remember '88. My brother almost went under as well. It was a very tough year for farmers. |

| WOWZA!! I would LOVE another year like `88! HOT and DRY! (I love deserts, what can I say!?) That would be great if it was! PS- We have the Great Lakes close to us, whoever doesn't, well, I feel sorry for them! |
