Figure there'd be a good chance of someone here being able to ID this though I also posted this query on a couple other forums. More great minds I have checking it out, the better the odds of getting an ID I figure. : )

Found growing amongst the leaf litter about 6ft [little under 2m for you metric folks] in from the edge of a woods in Michigan. Obviously a spring bloomer.

Cute little things. Flowers are roughly 0.5 inches [1.5cm] across. Leaves 3-4 inches [8-9cm] long.

So whaddaya think?

I think it's HEPATICA.

Go to "Google", click on Images and do a search. Comes in various colours. Very lovely flower, lucky you.

Wow, that is pretty. The hepatica I have is blue (bought from Van Atta's)...smaller than your lovely specimen I think.

Spring Beauty ? It is a lovely, delicate little gem.
Thanks for sharing.

Spring Beauty - Claytonia virginiana

Here is a link that might be useful: Spring Beauty

Looks like I stand corrected - the leaves of Spring Beauty look identical to what you have there. Hepatica leaves look different. Both are very pretty and you're fortunate to have Spring Beauty.
