ok to mow over pachysandra to get new growth

| Hi.I would like to know if it would be ok to mow over a patch of pachysandra to give it a fresh start. Right now it looks unhealthy and looks overgrown. Will it take months to grow back or years?? Or should I just leave it alone? Thank you. |
