| Help! Several years ago I picked up some Jerusalem artichoke plants at a plant exchange. They were pretty the first year... over 6' tall, sunflower like flowers, etc.
But oh are they INVASIVE! I've never seen anything like these! They can travel 15 feet across the yard, and I swear they can get 6" high in a day. They grow from tubers, which seem to burrow themselves down deeper and deeper... way past where my shovel will dig.
Last year I thought I had them all dug up. WRONG! How can I kill these things? Would a vegetation killer on the plant get down to the tubers??
