The announcement was in the local paper last night! Anyone near Owosso, northeast of Lansing, might be interested in attending the Plant Auction in Owosso. The Owosso Garden Club is having the sale at 6:30PM at the local site of interest, Comstock Cabin. This Cabin is in Curwood Castle Park, in the block east, behind the Wendy's resturaunt on the northeast corner of M-21 and M-52. Park is right on the bend of the Shiawassee River next to the downtown area of Owosso. Any signs pointing at Curwood Castle will get you in the right place too. The Castle and Cabin are right next to each other. Only one road around the block behind Wendy's.

The article I read said the plants are from the Owosso Garden Club members own gardens, a number of very special and unique items will be included. All kinds of vegetation will be offered, bulbs, plants, shrubs, perennials, sometimes trees. Cash and checks accepted. Bring a chair and warm blanket since it will probably get cold and sale runs until dark or plants are gone. Sellers will be glad to give advice on how to grow these lovely items.

The Club has put this auction on for a couple years, seems to get a good turnout. They do a lot of work locally, keep historic homes decorated, put on garden tours. We do have a lot of wonderful gardens and gardeners in the Owosso area. A great opportunity to find plants that might be unavailable in your locale. Meet other garden fanatics!
