The right time to plant

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice whether it is already safe to start planting seeds outside.

Thanks,

Yvonne

Yvonne, it depends on where you are in MI, and what kinds of seeds you want to plant. A little more info would be helpful :-)

That definitely depends where you are. I am in SW Michigan and I planted last week (but with fingers crossed!) Most of Michigan is zone 4-5, but then you have the microclimes, like where I am.

Then you have the seed types, which complicates things further! lol. For instance, curcurbits like a soil temp of 60 degrees or more, so they need to go in much later.
I planted peas in early March and they took forever to germinate but are now nice vigorous plants.
