I have a yard full of weeds virtualy no grass, we have a pesticide ban in our city and there are far too many to pull by hand. I would like to lay sod but can't because of all the weeds. Help!!!

a couple options...you could buy the black plastic covers,then lay the sod on top..or you could put alot of old newspapers down,then the sod on top of them...
they should both kill all the weeds and anything green underneath..

I'm fairly certain that regular-strength RoundUp is still legally available despite the provincial ruling last year. It could be different in certain municipalities.

Also, be on the look-out for a new product called Fiesta. It is an iron-based (and therefore "environmentally-friendly") product that will be used to control broad-leaf weeds in established turf. Of course, that's not really what you have. :(
