Petunia cuttings

Hi
I am in Ridgetown Ontario. I started my wave petunias from seed indoor, under lights, in February. I had about 70 from 7 pks of seeds. They are expensive! In early April I moved the seedlings to my greenhouse and they just grew like gangbusters. I have already planted them out in the garden and in hanging baskets and donated a bunch to our Hort Society for the Spring Plant Sale. Now I have started about 60 cuttings and hope to have them + some more ready to sell at the Farmer's Market in a few weeks.
Taking cuttings is an easy way to increase the number of these expensive annuals. Do check out our blog: www.ridgetownhorticulturalsociety.blog.ca. I write the blog for our society.

Impressive, Elaine!

Never bother with starting petunias from seed myself. I don't have the room. Also, I understand that unless they are started very early, like you did, they are unlikely to bloom before our short growing season is over.
