Seeking Honeysuckle

Hello,

A vivid memory from my youth is the wonderful scent of the yellow/white honeysuckle we had. I believe this is the Japanese honeysuckle (not sure) and I know it's a voracious grower and can easily take over. However, I have a fenced area that would be easy to trim and control the honeysuckle.

Please let me know if this is indeed the Japanese honeysuckle and if have some for trade. Thank you for your time.

    DON'T DO IT! :)

There are some other honeysuckles in the garden centres now that are less invasive, and just as pretty. Avoid the Hall's (Lonerica japonica) at all costs. Try Dropmore Scarlet or Mandarin (both L brownii). They'll still need pruning, but at least they won't eat the dog. The Dropmore has been around for a few years, so someone may have some for trade.

I don't have anything for trade this year, as I'm in "scorched earth" mode in my backyard right now. I'm looking for a hardy L periclymenum (English honeysuckle) myself.
