Suggestions for a sunny slope...?

Hi there!

I'm new to the forum and we moved into our 1st house recently and so I'm just starting out on this whole gardening journey ^.^

On the very west end of our property there is a steep-sloped part that gets A LOT of sun and faces the road we live in...

Can any suggest a good groundcover/plant/flower that can cover the area, is pretty hardy, maybe invasive, preferably pretty and native to Michigan?

I'm probably making a pretty tall order, but any help/advice anyone will provide would be just wonderful.

Thanks so much!

If it's a relatively hot, dry slope in the sun, I would suggest an assortment of Sedum, although they are not native to Michigan (at least, not most/many).

The shorter types are typically spreading to various degrees. Some are even considered aggressive.

The taller types would provide a pleasant contrast in height.

Also NOT native, but crownvetch or birdsfoot trefoil might work for you. Both are good groundcovers for slopes, etc. Seed is fairly readily available for both.
